It’s a commodity often overlooked, but the envelope has continued to evolve throughout an ever-changing industry, as PrintWeek reports.

 

When it comes to the history of the envelope too, there’s so much it has overcome from the 1840 Post Office reforms to the demand for mass-produced envelopes which saw a surge from 26 million a year to 347 by 1850*.
