20 Oct Webmart joins SMP as membership continues to grow
The SMP is continuing to grow its thriving membership following the addition of a long-established print management business.
Webmart, which began life as a print services agency in 1996, became an SMP member to help strengthen its arm in direct mail and doordrop.
Simon Biltcliffe, Webmart Founder, highlighted the SMP as a key figure in helping the business to grow.
“Membership of the SMP will be critical as part of our growth plans in order to understand the development of direct marketing and how we can influence improvements in its usage in an internet age. The SMP will give us a lot more of a voice and knowledge in direct mail. It will also help to promote best practice within our business and the partners we utilise to facilitate the production.”
Biltcliffe began Webmart with just £10,000 of his own savings and continued to grow the business through its innovation milestones and challenging times in the marketplace.
Continued profit over a two-decade period and successful trading activity has seen Webmart grow from strength to strength. Webmart, which operates from three bases in Scotland, Yorkshire and Oxfordshire, has a heavy focus on people development, early adoption of technology and outstanding customer service.
Judith Donovan CBE, SMP Chair, added: “This year has been fantastic for growing the SMP’s membership and we are proud to have Webmart on-board as the latest addition. We welcome other organisations to find out about us and how our members are continuing to shape the ways in which our industry develops.”
