The annual SMP Summit is the perfect opportunity for members to get together and share knowledge and experiences. Since restarting our summit in 2017, it was the first time since the market opened up 15 years prior, manufacturers and carriers were in the same room, talking openly and honestly about how we can work together to secure the future of the mail. Collaboration is our key theme.
In previous years we have welcomed more than 100 attendees come together to listen to talks from key industry players, engage in insightful breakout sessions and take part in live panel debates that have included carriers.
Presentations have covered the latest from our sponsors Royal Mail, and included economic updates, as well as key speeches from carriers. The dynamic breakout sessions are put together to encourage debate on how we can work together within our industry; covering the latest in developing technologies, maximising incentives and how to shape the future generation of mailmakers.
SMP members can enjoy a number of free resources and training opportunities. These include a series of free and substantially discounted training courses offered in conjunction with Royal Mail and the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM).
Courses range from bite-sized taster sessions to in-depth training that leads to a recognised IDM qualification or an award in GDPR. Topics covered include the latest innovations in direct mail and how to execute mail campaigns and door drops.
